Jennifer Lamarche Schmalz has guided the association since the completion of its first round of negotiations in 2015. She was able to highlight and vehemently defend the needs of French-language public school boards, as well as protect and draw attention to the French-language public education system in Ontario. She has built a solid foundation for ACÉPO’s labour relations.

After working for thirty years for the well-being of students of Ontario’s French-language public schools, including seven years spent as Superintendent of Education at the Conseil scolaire Viamonde and five spent at ACÉPO, Jennifer Lamarche Schmalz has decided to step back. She is leaving her role of director, but will continue to provide ACÉPO with her expertise by joining the labour relations support team, which will ensure a smooth transition and continuity for the association.
